'Moment' let's you know when to stop

Recent studies have shown people are addicted to their smartphones and some get to check it even more than 150 times per day. A new app called “Moment” show you how much you use your phone every day, but for now it's only available on App Store.

It was designed to show iPhone users how much time they waste checking the phone and to offer users a balance between between their real life and the time they spend taping the little screen. “Moment” can even let any user establish their own limits on how much they use their own device.

“Moment” was created by Kevin Holesh. He said he created the app for him after he realized how addicted he was to his phone and how much damage that affected his real-life relationships. An iOS developer himself, Holesh designed the app to be invisible so once you set it up for the first time it will run in the background alerting you when it needs to.

My main goal with Moment was to make me aware of how many minutes I'm burning on my phone each day, and it's helped my testers do that too,” Holesh said.

Moment's main objective is to track how much you use your iPhone everyday, but it can also track where you go each day and have it plotted on the map. It has a few daoly limit reminders to let you know you taped it too much.
