Is the Lumia 930 the last phone wearing the 'Nokia' badge?

Still going under the name of Nokia, the Finish smartphone maker is about to release a new device ready to take on the “flagship war”. Called the Lumia 930, the phone is said to be the lat one coming from Nokia under its current franchise name.

The Lumia 930 comes to replace the older model, the 925 and it has a reviewed Operating system and beefed up specs. It is one of the first handsets to run Microsoft's Windows Phone 8.1 mobile OS. Nokia claims its updated software and its specs will push the 930 in the “big boys class”.

The phone will come with a 5 inch FULL HF display with a pixel density of 441, which is impressive. The display is powered by a quad-core 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragoon 800 processor paired with 2 GB of RAM. So far, the specs are great, but other have similar hardware too. So, in typical fashion, Nokia boosted the phones main camera to 20 megapixels. It's probably the biggest improvement compared with the 8 megapixel sensor found on the older model. The main camera also features optical image stabilization and and LED flash for high quality snaps. The 930 will also be equipped with a 1.2 megapixel front camera.

Nokia went for a large 2,420 mAh battery which will improve autonomy and other specs feature Bluetooth 4.0 and 4G LTE connectivity capabilities. Surely the phone has the Nokia quality and its specs can definitely put the phone in the “big boys arena”, but will it be able to compete with LG's G3 or HTC's M8. It will certainly be an alternative to Android OS and some specialist claim the latest version of Operating System coming for mobile platforms coming from Microsoft will bring unprecedented stability.

Nokia hasn't talked about an official release date, but rumors claim it will hit the market in the first part of July. Official retail recommended prices are also a mystery, but some sites already launched pre-order prices ranging from 450 to 550 euros.
