Iphone – the biggest threat to China
Latest spying incidents involving USA, Germany and China made every government feel a little bit uncomfortable and insecure. However, it looks like China is taking everything a bit too hard.
Smartphone have the ability to track and store data, but to be part of a major spying plan seems a bit odd. However, it's not the way the Chinese thing. The very popular Apple iPhone was called a threat to national security by the Chinese state media. The reason is its ability to to track and time stamp locations.
“This is extremely sensitive data. If the data were accessed, it could reveal an entire country's economic situation and even state secrets,” a Chinese researcher claims.
Chinese state media was very vocal and even accused the American phone manufacturer of offering vital information of US intelligence agencies, information gathered from various iPhones.
Apple is not the only and not the first American company to suffer had criticism from Chinese state media. Google's services were disrupted for moths in China, while Microsoft's Windows 8 Operating System is banned to be user on numerous government computers.
