LG is preparing a Windows Mobile smartphone
2014 so far has been a good year for devices running Windows Mobile. The third most used Operating System on handsets is regarded very stable and durable and most smartphone manufacturer announced increased sales on devices running the latest Windows Mobile 8.1.
It seems like LG wants in. Microsoft announced earlier this year a list of partners that might get into the market and among them LG popped out. Inadvertently, a Microsoft employee revealed the fact that the Korean brand is preparing a smartphone, but also various other devices powerd by Microsoft.
Despite the fact that rumors are based on facts and that LG is a Microsoft partner, allegedly the Korean manufacturer is not considering attacking the market with more than one device. However, the phone could see daylight this year, it looks like LG plans to probe the ecosystem in 2014-2015 before jumping in.
Windows Mobile devices will get more and more competition in the next 12 months as Lenovo, ZTE, HTC, Huawei and Nokia all announced further models running Microsoft's OS.
