Spurs need one more victory for their fifth title
San Antonio Spurs is one victory shy of winning its five NBA title. The Texas based franchise leads Miami Heat 3-1 and needs only one more win to get the job done. Game five is scheduled Sunday in San Antonio.
One step away from getting a fifth title, probably everyone in San Antonio is thinking there could not have been a better way to win the ultimate trophy in basketball. After losing game three at home, Miami Heat could not recover.
The second match at American Airlines Arena was a blow out. It wasn't even close. San Antonio won three out of the four quarters for a 107 – 86 overall victory. Kawhi Leonard provided the spark once again having 20 points and 14 rebounds.
“I'm pleased that they performed as well as they did while we've been in Miami and that's about as far as it goes. Now, we have to go home and play as well or better,” said Gregg Popovich, Spurs' coach.
Every basketball critic in US couldn't say a thing about Spurs' offensive flow. The former champions were incredible moving the ball with speed and precision. The San Antonio Spurs is only one victory away of winning the title for a fifth time, all under Gregg Popovich. The team only lost one final, last year against Miami Heat.
