Neymar shines in Brazil win

Brazil is the third team to advance into the knockout stage of the Football World Cup after defeating Cameroon. Neymar scored twice for the Brazilians and became the most prolific scorer with four goals.

Scolari's side was bound to win to dodge the Netherlands, probably the most spectacular team at the World Cup, in the next stage. The Brazilians wasted no time and rushed Itandje's goal. It was Naymar who struck first after 17 minutes, but Cameroon leveled the score midway through the half. The goal scored by the Africans was just a minor glitch in the Brazilian defence.

Neymar stepped up once more and scored his second goal after 34 minutes. Fred and Fernandinho also scored for a 4-1 victory that guaranteed Brazil a more facile adversary in the next round. Scolari's side will battle Chile for a place in the quarter finals. The match is scheduled on June 28 at Belo Horizonte.

With the two goals, Neymar became the top scorer of the final tournament with four. He is followed by Benzema, Muller, Roben, Van Persie and Valencia, each with three. “There is no pressure. I've always said there is no pressure when you are making a dream come true and doing something you have sought after since you were a kid,” said Neymar after the game.
