Valiant Hearts: WWI letters create a game story

How do you reflect the emtional toll war puts on people but also the bondage and compassion created among those who are in it?

Such are the question that French game developers at Ubisoft tried to incorporate in their new game, Valiant Hearts.

The game is actually based on real letters sent home by fighting soldiers. They talk of grief, of sorrow, of friends lost and friends gained, of courage and fear.

All of the above had been translated into Valiant Hearts which follows four characters and a dog through the experience and emotions of a cartoon-stylised World War I.

The game is set to be released on June 25, 2014.
