Google’s Android extends into every piece of tech
Google revealed yesterday its long-awaited future plans during the annual developers conference the company holds in San Francisco.
According to company representatives, Android, Google’s own software, is going to expand to all kind of items, from wearable technology, to TVs, to cars.
And, to prove that it’s not just about showing off, Google said that it’s software, which already runs on about three out of every four smartphones worldwide, is now incorporated into Android Wear, such as the smart watches developed by LG and Samsung, which have just went out on sale.
Over 40 car-makers have already signed up for Google Auto Android software which handles navigation, music and messaging inside the vehicle. The first cars running on Android Auto will be tested in showrooms later this year.
The Android TV offers a user-friendly interface to search and display video content more easily.
Google also announced that it is currently working on developing a budget smartphone that will sell for somewhere around 70 euros.
