Xiaomi hits the 'Jackpot' with the Redmi
Xiaomi is one of the biggest brands in Asia. Despite the fact that it can't compete with premium devices, the Chinese manufacturer is among the fastest growing tech companies in the world and its latest product is killing competition.
Xiaomi's Redmi Note has been launched for two months already in China, but in certain countries it has only made it midway through June. However, when de handset reached Taiwan Xiaomi reported massive figures. Stores could not actually keep up with the demand and at one point, Xiaomi claims it was selling 10,000 Redmi Notes per second.
It's official online store received 40,000 reservations in 12 hours, two times more than it was registering until June 20th. This proves to be another good sign for the Chinese manufacturer that is dominating the domestic market. Xiaomi officials confirmed recently this year that the company is aiming to expand in Asia, and the first step toward Taiwan proved to be a successful one.
Getting back to the Redmi Note, some customers complained the device was sold out on many sites before their browser's web page could even refresh itself. The demand for the device is still very high and Xiaomi relies on that. The Redmi Note is a high spec but low priced device boosted by an octa-core processor that can easily take on premium devices.
