'Mini' war enfolds this summer
Samsung and LG have been battling when it comes to mobile devices for year and most of the time Samsung won. However, LG's G3 hit turned things in its favor. Recently, leaked out information revealed the G3 so called “mini” version that is not actually a mini phone, but Samsung has an answer.
Rumors say Samsung will officially launch its Galaxy S5 “mini” model mid way through July, when the device will hit shelves around the world. Samsung has been very quiet about it and some said Samsung had to speed up the launch to have the lead ahead LG. Despite the event should be held in a matter of weeks there still no information coming from Samsung about the location and the event where the S5 mini will be unveiled.
Just like its main competitor, the S5 mini is not a mini phone. The screen is said to measure 4.5 inch AMOLED HD display. Leaked specs revealed 1.5 GB of RAM, a Cortex-A7 quad-core processor running at 1.4 GHz and an eight megapixel camera. Sam information claim it will also carry the heart rate monitor sensor on the back and the fingerprint scanner under the home button.
If rumored hardware is confirmed the S5 mini will most likely be a good phone, but critics already asked what will be the difference between the S5 mini and the S4 other than 0.5 inches in display.
