Brazil wins the opener against Croatia

Neymar jr. has Brazil at his feet. The 22 year old striker scored twice as Brazil wins the Football World Cup opener 3-1. Croatia stunned everyone in Sao Paolo after scoring first thanks to Marcelo's own goal.

Every single football fanatic knew that since the first minute of the game, Brazil will likely take control over the game and retain possession, but Croatia proved to be a tough mission. The Europeans scored first after just eleven minutes when Marcelo sent the ball in Brazil's own net.

After the goal Brazil started pressing even harder and Croatia struggled to get out of its own half. The equalizer came eventually out of Neymar's boot after 30 minutes and the game was tied at halftime. The Brazilians came out of the locker room even more determined to get the win and after a few chances Lovren fauled Fred in the box. The referee pointed to the spot and Neymar scored the penalty shot to put Brazil ahead and released the samba celebration across the country.

Eventually the home team scored again via Oscar two minutes into the stoppage time. The goal secured Brazil's tenth consecutive win for a record 33 scored goals and only three conceded. It also secured the three points which matter the most in establishing the Brazil's trail for the knock out phase.
