Kiev losses a 17-hour battle
After fierce battles over the Ukrainian border command center near Luhansk passed the 17-hour limit, government troops withdrew their forces, leaving the camp in the hands of separatist militia.
Ukrainian officials acknowledged, on Wednesday, their defeat, stating that the camp personnel was 'redeployed to safer places.'
Kiev also said that, during the fights, the Air-Force fired over 150 missiles over Luhansk.
The statement fired up controversies after one missile hit the side of an administrative building in the town, in an area populated by civilians. As a result, as many as eight locals died, although the exact number of casualities remains unclear.
While government officials say the missile was a misfire launched by separatists, pro-Russian militia blames the Air-Force, saying they are responsible for hitting a civilian area.
