Tel Aviv pounded by Gaza rockets

Starting with Monday morning, the Gaza-based Hamas group has launched at least 40 rockets, targeting the Israeli city of Tel Aviv.

Although the Iron Dome, Israel’s rocket defense system has halted almost all incoming rockets in midair, one of them still passed and hit a house in the Sderot city.

Shimon Peres, Israel’s president, has been visiting families of Israeli soldiers who lost their lives during the Gaza ground offensive and paid his condolences to them.
