Rebels in Ukraine shot down 2 fighter jets
Rebels in Ukraine have shot down two military fighter jets which were flying over an area called Savur Mogila.
Oleksiy Dmitrashkovsky, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman, said that the two Sukhoi-25 jets might have been carrying a crew of two persons each.
Whether the pilots and other military staff aboard the fighters had survived or not remains unclear.
The downing of the two Ukrainian military fighters comes after pro-Russian militants declared that they possessed no equipment that could shot down a plane. These declarations were made after rebels had been accused of being responsible for shooting down the MH17 Malaysian flight.
