At least 37 dead after Syria explosions
A series of explosions blasted through the Syrian city of Homs, killing at 37 people and injuring 80 others.
Earlier, in Damascus, a mortar shell exploded near a technical institute, leaving 14 dead and dozens wounded.
The attacks came a day after President Bashar al-Assad registered for re-elections in spite of repeated calls to step down as a way of ending the civil war that has been destroying Syria.
Over 150,000 people are believed to have fallen victims to this three-years long civil war and millions of others have fled their homes as the battle shows no signs of stopping.
