Travel to Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan is a Muslim country, the first democratic republic of the countries with the same tradition, split from the USSR in the early 90s, Azerbaijan is a cultural and political mix. Geographically it is in Asia, but politically it was adopted by Europe.
Baku has a general architectural rather homogeneous aspect, although it tends to copy many famous buildings in Europe, probably from the desire to come closer to the continent. Some examples are the Metro station after the pyramid of Louvre or a round after the plans of the Versailles palace. It's full of cats, statues and houses with original entries. The capital is also known to be the finest harvor from the Caspian Sea.
When you want to go there, you will need a visa, which costs €60 and is valid for 3 months, with a maximum of two entries, or €250 for the one of one year with multiple entries. Their currency is called driven and is in the ratio of about 1:1 with the euro, with little fluctuation over time.
The food at the restaurant and the bar drinks have prices that can be compared to the ones in Western Europe. In contrast, the alcohol duty-free shops have very good prices, but if you stop in Europe the items you buy from those shops will be seized. And last but not least, their national beer is Xirdalan, and those who have tried it say it's very good.
