These are the most bizarre places on Earth
Each place has it's uniqueness, but these places are like from another world. Check them out!
EYE OF AFRICA - MAURITANIA
Over time, this place fascinated hundreds of researchers worldwide. The place, as we see it today, was first discovered by cosmonauts, who have captured images of it from space. Initially it was thought that the area was formed after a meteor impact, especially because of its size (more than 50 km in diameter) but later, after extensive research, it was discovered that the place was formed after a natural phenomenon, namely mountain lifting from the Dom, affected by wind erosion.
RACETRACK PLAYA - USA
Death Valley National Monument in California, is regarded as a natural area where extremes meet. The high mountains, covered with eternal snow, downhill upholstered with pines and wild flowers, rose in the middle of the vast desert dunes. At about 90 m below the sea level, this is the largest, driest and hottest region of the North American continent. Of all the curiosities and wonders found here, perhaps the most disturbing is the existence of 'the moving stones'. They cover the desolate surface of the so-called 'plain racing '. In fact it is the bottom of a dry lake with a beach of about 5 km, where the earth is cracked and covered with stones.
SOCOTRA ARCHIPELAGO
Socotra Archipelago is located somewhere in the Indian Ocean, between Cape Horn and the Arabian Peninsula. The place is strange because the landscape looks more like areas from Mars than from Earth. There are a bunch of very bizarre-looking tree species that live here, that can not be found anywhere else in the world.
TINTO RIVER
Tinto River from the Sierra Morena Mountains comes from Andalusia, Spain and flows towards the south-west of the country, somewhere near Huelva, in the Cadiz Gulf. NASA scientists have discovered that the river resembles the groundwater on Mars, having about the same PH. Due to the large amount of iron found in the water, the river is colored just like the bricks.
THE WAVE
Looking like a place from a science-fiction movie, this is the most spectacular scenery from the Colorado Plateau. The rocks were modeled by the wind and gave the appearance of waves.
CUSCO POOLS
Sacred Valley of the Incas in Peru, 40 kilometers from Cuzco, a landscape park seems copied from another planet. Formed in a former salt mine where tiny pools of water appeared. On the whole mining complex there are about 1,000 such pools, and on a sunny day the landscape is absolutely stunning.
