And this is because of microorganisms the water left on the wet shore.

These organisms glow just like fireflies and tend to emit light when subjected to stress, that is when the waves hit the beach or when they're agitated.

Placed in the Indian Ocean, the Maldives is the smallest Asian country, both in terms of population and surface. It is also the state with the lower maximum altitude in the world.
