Most Unusual Travel Destinations

If you're interested in things that are out of the ordinary and you would like to visit some bizzare places, then you must check out these unusual locations.

First up, we have Yunessun Spa Resort, located in Japan. Its full name is Hakone Kowakien Yunessun Hot Springs Amusement Park & Spa Resort. What so unusual about it? Well you can soak in a drink, any kind of drink that you like, from sake, green tea, coffee to red wine. Yes that's true, there are jacuzzis that you can fill with these drinks. Enjoy!

Next up there's the Island Of The Dolls or Isla de las Munecas. This is located in Mexico and it's the most creepiest place you can ever visit. This island was dedicated to the lost song of a young girl and you will find here hundreds of decomposing baby dolls that are hanging from the trees. The superstition is that these dolls contain the soul of the dead girl.

If you like disgusting things you should check out Bubblegum Alley. It has a wall of chewed bubblegum that has been growing since the 70s, located in San Luis Obispo, California. It's a sticky, colourful wall that might present interest for bubblegum fanatics.

How many of you like visiting caves filled with hair? Does that sound strange for you? Well Avanos Hair Museum in Turkey is a dark cave below a pottery barn that has a lot of locks of hair on display.

Maybe you'd prefer mummies on display. In Palermo, Italy, the Capuchin Catacombs offer their visitors 8000 well preserved mummies dressed in their finest clothing. Tourists can walk around the walls of these tombs to see the displayed mummies, some of them are even posing....creepy.

The Temple of Rats in India has been named after the Goddess Karni, that believed that her family members will come back after death as rats. The temple is filled with rats that are protected because they are believed to be sacred, but it seems that they are very friendly.

The last on our list is the Paris Sewer Museum. This one seems more normal than the rest, but still, you have the opportunity to explore the significance of the sewer system. Victor Hugo said "Paris has another Paris under herself; a Paris of sewers...", and we agree.
