More than 1 Billion Euros spent in Romania

In 2013, tourists and business travelers are said to have spent over 1 billion euros in Romania. These people came for conference, congresses, training sessions, fairs and exhibitions and from these it is said that Romania accounted for 66.4% of their total tourism revenue.

According to the statistics 74.4% of the foreign tourists come to Romania by air, while 12.5% use their personal car and only 9.2% use the bus. 3.9% use other means of transportation such as train, boats, rented cars, motorbikes and so on.

1714 million people stayed in hotels, resorts of B&B and they spent about 4.79 billion RON. These private travels account for cultural and sports events, visiting family and friends, shopping, religion, transit or medical treatment.
