Biggest travel mistakes
While travelling people almost always realise that somewhere, somehow, they made a mistake. Whether it's related to what they packed with them or hotel choice or souvenir purchase, they end up pledging not to repeat the same mistake again.
Here is a list of what might go wrong on a trip:
1. Overpacking
Cramming too many outfits in one bag is one of the most often mistakes people make. A recent survey revealed that almost two-thirds of travelers return home with at least six outfits they hadn't pulled out of their bags to wear.
The base line is that you have bring along clothing items that you can wear at least two times and, thus, your bag will have more room for souvenirs.
2. Delay buying something you like
If some item you see calls for you to own then you should buy it and not hesitate, thinking that you will going to get back to the same shop or wait until you come upon a cheaper version of that product.
Buy it and be happy or walk on and live with regrets.
3. Taking the 'near city center' description for granted
Don't jump at the hotel with the cheapest fare that writes 'near city center' in its description. At least, not before making a compared analysis with a map to verify how central the hotel's location really is.
A 30-minute commute is, by no standards, 'near city center'.
4. Compulsive-obsessive photograph disorder
Although it's not really a disease, not by name in any case, the impulse to phtograph every street corner, statue, food plate and plant might kill the spontaneity that should be the cornerstone of your trip.
Moreover, the 300 photos of your trip will not enhance your experience there. Therefore, you should put your camera aside for a truly special moment and enjoy the place you're at and the people you're with.
5. Forgetting to print reservation details
Keep in mind that, even you have booking details on your phone, tablet and laptop, devices can dissapoint you, especially after crossing an ocean. With that in mind, print your reservations so you'll know where you are going.
