Belmond will be the new name of Orient-Express

March 14th, 2014 will be the date Orient-Express Hotels changes its name into Belmond.

The name is supposed to mark a new and important period in the company's long history, looking to reveal the uniqueness of this travel agency.

The new stamp is wanted to point out the outstanding set of trains, hotels, river cruises and safaris of the company, making it easier to search, recognise, explore and navigate for the eventual costumers.

The chief executive of Orient-Express Hotels, John Scoot declared: “We are excited that we are entering the next chapter in our journey with a name that celebrates our character, resonates with our guests and encompasses the broad scope of our celebrated collection of hotels, river cruises and trains, each of our iconic and one-of-a-kind luxury experiences evokes strong customer loyalty and we are extremely proud of the heritage that makes us unique.”

They not only changed the name of the brand, but also the web site's name into Belmond.com, that will be officially released on March 10th.

The company already has under its governance and ownership 45 luxurious hotels and travel experiences in many of the world's best destinations.

The new name will be found next to every particular propriety brand, putting each one under one big common name.

”We will support the launch of Belmond with a sizable investment of $15 million in enhanced promotional and marketing initiatives, this investment will include new websites, social media and our first ever large-scale advertising campaign.” declared the chief sales and marketing officer with Orient-Express, Ralph Aruzza.
