NBA hires first ever woman coach assistant
Gender boundaries in the world of sport just became thinner after NBA a female coach assistant for the first time in its history.
WNBA all-star Becky Hammon impressed coach Gregg Popovich: ‘Having observed her working with our team this past season, I’m confident her basketball IQ, work ethic, and interpersonal skills will be a great benefit to the Spurs,’ he said.
37-years-old Hammon will be the first woman to work as a full-time coach assistant in NBA and she will retire this year from a 16-season career in the woman’s league.
