Ukraine: Luhansk region voters surpassed Donetsk' 89% result
After the massive majority in Donetsk region voted 'yes' in the disputed “self-rule” ballot on Sunday, the poll results for Luhansk region were released, announcing even a bigger majority: 96% are in favor of independent governing.
Next week there will be a second round of voting, where the population will have to express their opinion and answer whether or not they support joining Russia.
People are appalled by the way international media portrays them: “From the TV all we hear are “Donetsk bandits, Donetsk this, Donetsk that, look I live here, I don’t wear any colors, am I a bandit?” a local woman said.
