Turkey death toll at 274, angry mob attacks PM
The death toll has passed 270 in Turkey's worst mining accident in history. Fury is the overall emotion of relatives waiting at the mine site in Soma as more bodies are being brought to surface.
Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, faced the mob's anger after his car was attacked by demonstrators.
Meanwhile, search teams have been working through a second night to find the over 100 miners still missing, although hopes to finding anyone alive are diminishing by the minute.
After a fire and an explosion on Tuesday, the mine's ventilation systems and electricity were cut off, leaving the miners stranded 2.5 kilometers underground with no working lifts and no oxygen.
Many have died from carbon monoxide poisoning, as survivors mentioned a second fire might have burst in the mine.
The government is being blamed for privatising the mines and repeteadly ignoring warnings about safety working conditions.
