Libya Islamists cleansing leaves 20 dead
Heavy fights in the Libyan city of Benghazi left at least 20 people dead and another 70 wounded.
The Libyan army forces, together with renegade General Khalifa Haftar battled the Islamist militant group Ansar al-Shariain in a violent attempt to cleanse the country of the latter.
The militant group is thought to be responsible for the 2012 attack on the US consulate in Benghazi when four people, ambassador included, have lost their lives.
After General Khalifa Haftar initiated, in May, a campaign against the Islamists, the militant group have repeatedly sent warnings to Washington to not interfere with the Libyan affairs.
