Flood wave is to hit Serbia within hours
After three-months worth of rain has fallen in just three days, Serbia now prepares to see the Sava River water levels peak within the next few hours, giving way to a flood wave.
A lot of energy has been put into protecting the country's biggest power plant from the incoming flood.
Meanwhile, the death toll has risen to 44 in the Balkan flood stricken region. However, as the many fear, more bodies will appear after the waters begin to recede.
On the Bosnia-Croatia border, although the heavy rains began to slow down, thousands of people are still stranded with no food, water or electricity.
Volunteers from across Europe are helping with clothes and food which are sent to collection centers in major towns.
