A third journalist killed in Ukraine
A third Russian journalist has lost his life after being caught in the middle of a fire exchange between Ukrainian government troops and pro-Russian separatists.
Anatoly Klyan, a cameraman for Russia’s state-owned Channel One television, was shot in the stomach during when his crew came under fire in the Donetsk region.
A reporter who was on site remembered: ‘We were looking for a car to take him to a hospital, the nearest one, and when we carried him from the bus his last words were, he turned his head and said: ‘Camera, camera.’
Moscow protested against operations in Luhansk and Donetsk as Klyan is the third journalist to die in less than a month’s time.
