Sister Scuccia won the 'Voice of Italy'

Sister Cristina Scuccia is the winner of talent singing contest called “Voice of Italy”. In the grand final she performed “Beautiful That Way” that brought her hundreds of thousands of votes and followers.

After winning the contest, Sister Cristina thanked Jesus for everything. “My presence here is not up to me, it's thanks to the man upstairs!” said Cristina Scuccia. The interesting presence in the renowned show wore the same crucifix all contest long and the typical black dress.

She even talked about her future plans. “I will continue to sing wherever the Lord wants. I'm not here to start a career but because I want to impart a message,” said the sister. She also added she followed Pope Francisc's call for a Catholic Church close to common people.

Apparently the show featuring a Catholic nun was closely followed from Vatican with top culture Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi supporting Cristina all the way through. Sister Cristina sung along with Ricky Martin and Kylie Minogue and her performances gathered more than 50 million views on Youtube.
