James Blunt ready to kick off Skansen
Swedish people have different traditions for almost every single holiday and most time these traditions include singing. The country is renowned for the amount of music and musicians exported.
With the summer hitting the country, Swedes prepare for the Stockholm Skansen Festival. Enthusiasts have been gathering at the Skansen outdoor museum since 1979 to sing. It's a tradition like no other where people of all ages gather for an open air concert.
Most of the time there are only local and national professional artist invited to sing, but organizers made an exception for this year. British musician James Blunt is the only foreign artist on the entire list released yesterday.
Swedish fans could name less than five foreigners to participate at this event since 2001 when Ricky Martin participated. A few years ago it was Wyclef Jean's turn, while last year Passenger performed.
Eurovision runner-up Sanna Nielsen, but also Icona Pop, Laleh, Timbuktu, Melodifestivalen, Alcatraz and Panetoz will perform at the 2014 Skansen.
