Avicii concert leads to hospitalization of many

At least 80 people requested medical attention during an Avicii concert in Boston. 36 of those needed hospitalization while 50 were in no real danger and could be treated by paramedics on site.

An official said that most problems that called for medical intervention were caused by alcohol and drug related symptoms, combined with the heat inside the concert hall.

One attendee said: ‘There was a lot of drinking and some drugs. It was really hot in there.’

After the concert, Avicii tweeted: ‘Just hearing the awful news abt tonight. Its a terrible thing, I rly hope everyone is ok! My thoughts go to those affected & their families.’
