Working out to fit the 'Bat suit'

To be the perfect Batman (everyone wonders if anyone will ever surpass Christian Bale), Ben Affleck went through a painful and long training camp. A few know that Affleck initially turned down the role because he was not convinced he could morph into Batman.

He was caught by a few paparazzi while on the beach with his daughter and his body looks stunning. Its obvious Affleck had gone the extra mile to fit it, but getting a new body needs time. Ben went through a rigorous workout camp of 90 days.

He started workout 90 days before filming and his sessions lasted 3-4 hours in the gym, per day six days a week. Once filming began, the sessions were reduced to only two hours per day 3 to 5 days per week. Hollywood renowned trainers Gunnar Peterson and Walter Norton imposed Ben a routine consisting of leg workout with squats and deadlifts, bench press for his chest and also a lot of cardio to get rid of any fat.

According to sources close to Affleck he used to work out his Chest and triceps on Monday, back and biceps on Tuesday, Shoulders on Wednesday, Legs on Thursday and Arms on Friday. Ben even changed his diet. Without taking any supplements, Ben focused on consuming 5,000 calories per day and at least 250 grams of protein each day.
