Seth MacFarlane, generous for education campaign
Seth MacFarlane, creator of the ‘Family Guy’ cartoon series and the acclaimed movie, ‘Ted’, has joined in the efforts to help educate children and increase literacy among the young ones.
MacFarlane pledged to double whatever sum the ‘Reading Rainbow’ campaign will raise.
‘Over the next five remaining days of the campaign, Seth has agreed to match dollar for dollar every pledge made up to $1 million. It's going to give us the ability to give the Reading Rainbow product away to many more classrooms in need. This is huge,’ said LeVar Burton, leader of the campaign for education.
So far, MacFarlane will have to match $4 million as that is the sum the campaign has raised so far.
