Ukrainian ceasefire in danger after helicopter crash
Nine Ukrainian government troops are dead after a military cargo helicopter has been shot down by separatists near the city of Slovyansk.
The helicopter was transporting technicians whose mission was to monitor breeches of the ceasefire treaty, which the rebels agreed to respect.
Sources tell that a rebel fighter shot a missile from a shoulder-held launcher which then brought the helicopter down.
However, after this last act of violence, the ceasefire may no longer stand and President Petro Poroshenko stated that he can now end the truce earlier than the previously established date of June 27.
