Nine missing after mine explosion in Ukraine

Nine Ukrainian coal miners are trapped underground after a methane gas explosion in an illegal mine pit in the Donetsk region.

The men are believed to be trapped somewhere 300 meters below ground.

Although a rescue mission is already undergoing, nothing is known about the state of the nine miners.

They were working 90 kilometers north of Donetsk, in an illegal mine pit that did not meet safety regulations.
