3 get death penalty in China

Three people have been sentenced to death in China after being trialed for ramming a car through a crowd of people in the doomed Tiananmen square, last October.

The outcome of the incident was that two people died and another 40 were wounded.

Five other people trialed in the same case received sentences ranging from life to five years in prison.

The Tiananmen square incident was blamed on Islamic militants.
