Rita Ora is suing a merchandising company
According to UK newspaper The Sun, Rita Ora has filed a suit against Scottish firm GL Dameck Ltd.
Rita is seeking a judgement of $179,000! She claims this amount of money from the executives at the firm, who owe her, due to a botched agreement in November 2012, regarding products that carry her name.
High Court documents obtained by The Sun indicate the sum includes V.A.T., costs and interest.
Rita is also seeking for an injunction to stop the sale of any goods that use her image.
It was unclear which products Rita was seeking to distance herself from.
However, The Sun notes the hitmaker became the face of Superga, an Italian shoe brand owned by GL Dameck, last year.
Spokespeople for both parties declined to comment.
Rita is meanwhile focused on her new music.
Her latest single, I Will Never Let You Down (listen below), was released in the UK just days ago. The love song was produced with her boyfriend - the Scottish DJ Calvin Harris.
"It's about having fun... and 'cause I take everything so seriously, I'm always a bit like work, work," she told BBC Radio 1 this week, adding of her man, "He's like, you really need to just enjoy it. And I agree, so I'm just enjoying it right now. And I'm happy we kinda did it together. It's a nice little feeling for me, it makes it personal".
