Duran Duran sues own fan club
The iconic group of the 80s, Duran Duran, is suing its own fan club for not providing the band with the agreed upon revenue from selling band-themed merchandise.
The filed lawsuit claims that the organization owes the band $40,000 in damages for breaching the contract.
The 2010 contract stated that Worldwide agreed to establish and manage the Duran Duran fan club, collect fees from members and store and sell Duran Duran merchandise. The revenue gained would be split with 75% going to the band and 25% to the fan club.
According to Duran Duran, Worldwide did not respect those terms and now it must be held responsible.
