New music next year from Guns N'Roses

New material would be the first since 2008's 'Chinese Democracy' LP.

The news was reported by guitarist Richard Fortus. According to Billboard, the musician discussed the possibility of putting out a new album in 2015 with the Associated Press at the Revolver Golden God Awards in Los Angeles on Wednesday (April 23).

Speaking on the red carpet at the ceremony, Fortus said: "We are working on stuff and hopefully very soon we're going to have new stuff out. Well, in the next year".

He continued: "We're going to be in Vegas all together, so hopefully during that time we're going to be able to get in a room and start laying down some more stuff".

The new album would be their first since 2008's long-awaited 'Chinese Democracy', which came 15 years after their previous LP 'The Spaghetti Incident?'.

The famous band is said to have been recording demos in their home studios, while they performed together at the Revolver Golden God Awards, with original member Duff McKagan filling in for new bassist Tommy Stinson. Frontman Axl Rose was also honoured at the event, being given the Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award.
