Mariah Carey hushes husband

After Nick Cannon publicly discussed his former lovers, Mariah Carey told him to "keep his big mouth shut!".

During a video interview with Power 106's Big Boy, Nick caused jaws to drop, because he listed women he'd been intimate with. He claimed the whole purpose of living in Los Angeles is to "have sex with actresses, singers, models". Then he started naming Mariah, Christina Milian, Nicole Scherzinger, Selita Ebanks and Kim Kardashian as his exes.

He has now admitted his wife disliked his loose lips.

He told Australian radio station 2Day FM: "I thought I was being coy and cunning by naming someone or people that I actually was in a relationship with". "The world knew these, these weren't like names that, you know, I pulled out of a hat ' these are people you've seen me on red carpets with, engaged, in love and all of that stuff, so wasn't like it was new information. You know sometimes, as my wife says, sometimes I should just keep my big mouth shut".

In another interview, Nick once discussed reality TV star Kim. He was making fun of the number of relationships she's been in the last week, and this time around he dismissed the level of fame she's achieved.

"Honestly, my wife, she doesn't even know who Kim Kardashian is," he told radio star Howard Stern. "She doesn't pay attention to that". 

He is promoting his new record White People Party Music in the guise of fictional character Connor Smallnut, which some claimed could be viewed as racist.

Nick has declined those rumours and explained he was just trying to be controversial.

"It worked extremely well, it worked better than I actually had planned", he told 2Day FM.

"I'm a huge fan of people like Sacha Baron Cohen and Andy Kaufman and Johnny Knoxville and all these types of people who put themselves in awkward and uncomfortable positions and get kicked out of places and this is just another character to do that and to have fun with. And the people that were ultra-sensitive... I wasn't trying to reach out to them anyway; they were kind of like pawns in my master game of chess that I was trying to do for the most elaborate April Fool's joke ever".
