Carl Barat in new band called 'The Jackals'
Carl Barat's long awaited return will come to an end, when he will perform a show at XOYO in London, on Thursday 15th May. His new band is The Jackals.
The band will be playing new songs and a selection of fan favourites from Barat's previous incarnations, at XOYO, in Shoreditch. Tickets for the show will be available on Friday 11th April, starting 9:00 a.m.
There will also be a support band, called Lois & The Love and Trampolene.
This will be the first show for Barats new band, who were recruited from over 1 000 applications via social media networks, last month.
The new band has the following roles: Carl Barat: vocals/guitar, Billy Tessio: Guitar, Adam Claxton: Bass Guitar and Jay Bone: Drums.
Baratt will be away in Switzerland filming his first starring role, in the film 'For This Is My Body' for two months, starting the middle of May. In his absence, the band will make the finishing touches for their forthcoming album, produced by Joby J. Ford for release in September. The album has no name yet.
Previously, Barat was a member of the Libertines, with whom he released two albums, Up The Bracket (2002) and The Libertines (2004).
