Steinbeck's boat turns into a museum
John Steinbeck's fishing boat, the Western Flyer, will not be let to rot away anymore but it will be transformed into a free exhibit and moved to the writer's birthplace in Salinas, California.
The boat features in one of Steinbeck's books: 'The Log from the Sea of Cortez'.
Steinbeck's nephew, Gerry Kehoe, however, thinks the boat's place is in Monterey, California, where the author sailed it when he was still alive.
