The story of a photo portrait
‘Who is the person standing in front of me?’ was the question stuck on French photographer Rémi Chapeaublanc’s mind.
How far did he go to find an answer to that question? He went all the way from Paris to Mongolia.
‘I often end up doing projects which are kind of crazy,’ he says about his style of work.
He had had his motorcycle license for two weeks when he packed his camera and left France’s capital for Mongolia.
He lived with locals and, while taking their portraits he realized something. In spite of the loneliness and desolation of such a vast space as Mongolia, the people lived a life enriched by a special bond with nature and especially animals.
The result of Chapeaublanc’s Mongolian experience was combined into the ‘Gods and Beasts’ photography exposition.
