Activist girl's portrait sold to aid Nigerian girls
Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani girl who was shot by the Taliban because she was protesting for girls' rights to education.
Now, a portrait of her made by a British painter was sold for $102.500 at an auction that took place yesterday.
In an act of charity, the money will be sent to Nigerian non-profit organizations which tend to women and girl's education. Nigeria was chosen due to the kidnapping of the 200 schoolgirls by the Boko Haram militant Islamist group.
