Rocket attacks lead to powerful Palestinian art

The increasingly violent conflict between Israel and the Gaza-based Hamas militant group has made many victims, mostly among Palestinian civilians.

Civilians cannot fight back. They are caught in the middle of a decade long conflict.

Nonetheless, there are other ways of reacting to their decimation and that is through art.

Several Palestinians turned huge smoke mushrooms caused by Israeli-launched rockets that hit in Gaza into their own experience of the war: grief, sadness but also resistance and rebellion.
