Liverpool won the right to hope

Liverpool can now call itself as a favorite on winning the Premier League title. The reds are entitled to do it after a huge 3-2 win over Manchester City at Anfield stadium.

Brendan Rodgers avoided talking about a possible championship season even with his team leading the classification. However, the last victory gives him the right to do so. Sterling, Skrtel and Coutinho scored three goals for three points. Rodgers finally gave in and said his team was brilliant!

“We were brilliant. I have to say. The performance of the players and the composure they showed against a formidable Manchester City was incredible really. I think we totally dominated the first half, 2-0 up and could have scored more goals in the game. We had great intensity to get the ball back and the quality we shown was terrific. We have to regain out focus very quickly, celebrate, but get back on training and work very hard,” said Rodgers.

Liverpool is now two points ahead Chelsea and seven points ahead of Manchester City, the only two teams left to fight for the Championship trophy.
