Out of control fire kills one in Oklahoma
A controlled burn got out of control in Logan County near Guthrie on Sunday and destroyed several homes.
Guthrie Fire Department Chief Eric Harlow said in a statement that only six structures were confirmed destroyed, but that he believes that dozens of other structures were also burned.
The fire, fueled by the high winds, had burned an estimated 4 to 6 square miles of land in about four hours.
One fatality was confirmed by the Guthrie Fire Department.
