Man arrested for presumed hijack

Indonesian troops boarded a Boeing 737 after landing as reports of the plane being hijacked reached Bali.

But the reports were the result of a misunderstanding between the crew and the on-ground staff.

What actually happened, was that a man had been handcuffed during the flight by crew members because he was acting aggressively. It was later confirmed that the man was drunk.

Heru Sudjatmiko, Virgin Australia official said that: ‘what happened was there was a drunk person... too much alcohol consumption caused him to act aggressively.’

The plane was flying from Australia to Indonesia. No passengers or crew members were harmed during the flight.
