Honda, Nissan, Mazda car re-call over exploding airbags
3 big names in the car-making industry, Honda, Mazda and Nissan are re-calling millions of vehicles worldwide due to faulty airbags that might explode.
Honda is re-calling 2.03 million cars, Nissan 755,000 and Mazda 160,000 cars.
The airbags were manufactured by supplier Takata Corp. And, although no incident regarding airbags has been reported yet, car makers are adopting the better safe than sorry strategy.
Earlier this month, Toyota also called back some 2.27 million cars due to the same airbag-related problems. The company reported that one fire was linked to the faulty airbag but, fortunately, no one was injured.
