Harley Davidson releases first electric motorcycle
Harley Davidson motorcycles and environmental awareness are not phrases that are found together too often.
However, things will take a new turn for the company after they will unveil, on Monday, their first fully electric zero-emission motorcycle, dubbed LiveWire.
The invitation-only event in New York will be followed by a tour of 30 cities with some 24 LiveWires electric bikes, so that those interested could test the motorcycle’s abilities.
‘Some people may get on it thinking, 'golf cart. And they get off thinking, 'rocket ship,’ said the leading engineer from Harley.
Although the bike is a few years away from being available to the public for purchase, it will be out for viewing. It has been seen on the set of the upcoming ‘Avengers’ movie.
